Das Empire State Building

Von 1931 bis 1972 war das Empire State Building mit seinen 381 Metern und 102 Etagen das höchste Gebäude der Welt.
Als 1945 ein B-25 Bomber der US-Airforce beim Landeanflug auf Newark in die 79. Etage krachte, bewies dieses Gebäude seine Standfestigkeit.

From 1931 until 1972 the Empire State Building was the highest building in the world. 381 meters high and 102 floors.
In 1945, a B25 Air-Force-Plane crashed into this building during it's landing at Newark. The building is still standing.
