Nach einer Bauzeit von 7 Jahren wurden die
Gebäude 1972/1973 fertig gestellt.
Von 1972 bis 1974 war das WTC mit 417 und 415 Metern
und 110 Stockwerken das höchste Gebäude der
Welt.
Zu den 50.000 Arbeitsplätzen in dem Gebäude kamen täglich noch ca. 100.000
Besucher.
In 58 Sekunden gelangte man mit dem Expresslift auf die Aussichtsplattform.
Als das Gebäude am 11. September 2001 durch
einen Anschlag zerstört wurde,
starben nicht nur viele Menschen;
die Skyline von Manhattan hat sich unwiederbringlich verändert.
After 7 years of
working, this building was completed in 1972/1973. From 1972 until 1974, the
WTC was the highest building in the world. 417 and 415 meters high, 110
floors, 50,000 Employees and 100,000
visitors per day. It took 58 seconds from the ground floor to the Top with
the Express-Lifts.
With it's destroying on September the 11th in 2001 by an attack,
many people died. And the Skyline of Manhattan changed forever.
